Riley's been learning new skills, and they are popping up everyday. He's been sort of "cruising" for a while, but he's really getting much better. This week, he went from one side of the coffee table to the other, around a corner and to the end of the next side. While I was at the store today, Scott put him in the pack-n-play for a few minutes and he went around two corners cruising. Then, just a few minutes ago, after a little effort, he went from the couch to the exersaucer and around the exersaucer a little bit.
He's also learned how to go from his belly or back to a sitting up position. I thought I caught him doing this yesterday, but we've witnessed him do this numerous times today.
When he's standing next to the couch, Riley's gotten quite good at bending over and picking up fallen toys off of the floor and then standing back up.
Whenever he learns a new skill or does something better, if you say "yea!!!!" he gets so excited and gives you a huge smile. It's like he's proud of himself.
He's still not crawling (maybe he never will). He seems to get around very well. Today, we caught him pushing himself forward towards a toy with just his feet and toes. It was kind of funny.
