Fun with Daddy

As of yesterday, Riley is 20lbs 7oz (that weight was taken with a constipated tummy though). We finally added fruit several days ago (pears) and prunes today. Hopefully that will help with the other issue. He pretty much likes everything, but he LOVES his sweet potatoes. The past week, I've let him choose which vegetable to eat by showing him the bottoms of the jars and letting him grab one. Everytime I put sweet potatoes in the selection, he grabs it as soon as he sees it and gets excited as I open it up. When I don't have it as a choice, he looks at each one and just picks one casually.

We are working on teaching him to wave. He seems to be getting it sometimes. His daddy's taught him how to give "kisses." We say, "Give Dada a kiss" or "Give Mama a kiss" and he comes at our cheek with an open mouth. Sometimes we get a lick too. He definitely knows who's Daddy and who's Mama. We'll have to get a picture or video of this. It's so cute.

I found an old picture on the flash card we were using. It's hard to remember him this small. This must have been some time when he was having gas issues (balled up fists and daddy holding him this way). We think he kind of looks like Nick in this picture (his expression).


The rest of the pictures Daddy took today when playing with him. Riley loves for you to blow on his face. It's like he's trying to catch the air in his mouth and nose.
