We took Riley to the Auburn University arboretum for some fresh air.
I love daylight pictures, but they are so hard to capture inside since he moves so much (because of shutter speed).

Riley got his daddy sick, so mommy's been busy taking care of them both. They are both much better but are still a little sick. Riley's been in an amazingly good mood. He's actually been a bit hyper (or manic as his daddy says). He's doing funny new things like tilting his head to get a different view of things or to see around something. He's grabbing and maneuvering things so well, sitting up for long periods of time, throwing and spinning things and...showing us more and more attitude. He's got his mama's stubbornness and temper and his daddy's dramatic flare. We can occasionally distract him by reciting his books still, but when that doesn't work, daddy copies him (outdoing Riley's performance). Riley just stares at his daddy like something is wrong with him.

We just gave him squash today for the first time. He got excited when he saw it. I think he thought it was sweet potatoes. When I gave him the first bite, he made a funny expression with his eyebrows. He did the same thing for the next three bites, but then he just ate it up quickly.
